Welcome to Hari’s Horses, a finca located in Merida, Ometepe Island, that offers guided horseback riding tours with experienced instructors and a very well cared for herd.
The well-being of our horses is of utmost importance to us. We keep them in various fields where they can graze, drink water and play all day long in the herd. We add to their daily food salt and a lot of fruit which they love. We do not like to see our horses’ ribs and make sure they are very healthy.
To ensure they are happy and comfortable in their work we also operate a 200lb weight limit.

After the political disorders in 2018 in Nicaragua tourist trade has drastically decreased. That’s why we appeal to you, sensible people of the web.
We live in Ometepe island, by the Cocibolca lake and organize two activities:
Bungalow rent, with breakfast included and meals on request.
Horse riding and trekking with expert guides. (17 horses are available).
We are asking for a support fee to ensure feeding and manteinance expences to our beloved horses , a sort of distance adoption, until a turism recovery. The yearly expences for a single horse amount to 600 $, which means around 50 $ per month.
In return, we offer to generous and sensible souls who adopt a horse 3 nights, with breakfast included, at our Finca and the adopted horse available during the sojourn on the island.
